Forbes K. Merkley collection

The Forbes K. Merkley collection contains materials relating to the For-Mar Farms and Merkley’s livestock. Included are letters of congratulations to Merkley for his prize-winning cattle, photographs, newspaper clippings and articles. There is also a magazine printed by an association of which his wife was a member. In the articles she is mentioned for her charitable donation of For-Mar farm to Genesee County.

Students for a Democratic Society collection

Scope and Contents

The collection contains leaflets, newspapers clippings, pamphlets, and photographs created by Students for a Democratic Society, Weathermen, and Prairie Fire and pertain to the politics and activities of those groups. Topics include Vietnam War protests, women's rights, anti-imperialism, and other topics. A large proportion of the materials relate specifically to the presence of the SDS at Michigan State University and surrounding Michigan universities.

W.K. Kellogg Biological Station records

Scope and Contents Nearly all of the records in series 1–5 of this collection dating through 1955 originated in the offices of Colin M. McCrary (1884-1956), the first farm manager, from 1930 until 1948, when he became station superintendent. In the Administrative series, the first three folders contain letters from and carbon responses to W. K. Kellogg, as McCrary reported monthly to the farm benefactor at his Arabian horse Farm in California and later kept up contact with Kellogg on a more personal level. ...
